  1. my defact rating got effed .. last christmas season .. those morons lost about 5-10% of my packages and I was shipping alot of stuff over 1,000 each month. Luckly they were tiny minifigure orders ect and not expensive items. Now that holiday season is over they seen to be better about it maybe 1% missing lost packages. But this new system with defect rates ect totally f**ked me out of top seller.
  2. 5x tower bridge from lego.com .. why? lol
  3. So you can buy a sets for $20 and turn it into $80 all day long on ebay .. haha
  4. $5? Naw bro .. I sold 3 used ones for about $20 each last week,.
  5. Another benefit bl has over ebay is .. no matter how s****y the set is parting it for bricks will always net you money .. there are some sets that just will not sell parted out ect. I dont mind buying chima at 50% off .. or galaxy squad .. parting that out one bay set/fig prob would barely make you even money .. parting on bricklink well doesnt matter what the theme is if you are selling by individual bricks. I just think bl is superior to selling on ebay which you seem to disagree without actually ever selling on bricklink. I used to sell on ebay like you and was making 20k+ in sales around christmas time. And than I sat down and really looked at my profit margains and they were slim, Sure I did alot of sales and the big numbers made me think I was making phat stacks, but the margain was not good after closely examining my numbers so I adapted and move to bl.
  6. I can guarantee I make higher profit margains on bricklink than ebay. What works for you, I put in alot more time into bricklink therefore getting huge returns. If you clear about 7.5k in profit every month for every 10k in sales on ebay I would bow down to you. I have a well established bricklink store which I spent hundreds of hours setting up. I also do this for a living and well off, As I recall you work a job and do ebay part time. You telling me you can support yourself financially( and live comfortably) parting on ebay I dont think so.
  7. Since the flood of these fake minifigures and more competition its no longer possible to make decent margains selling on ebay breaking up minifigures / sets. I just scrapped that altoghether and went with bl full time. The margains are alot higher. At first I agree its slow and I didnt see any money coming in until 2-3 months into it. Now that I am established I get about 10k min. in sales a month. Like you said you only have $300 to spend ( started with about 20k in inventory, im up to about 400k now) .. its going to take you a year or 2 to get started in the beginning you will not get many sales maybe 1 or 2 a month ect. I was able to get my store up and running super quickly because i opened alot of my investment sets hehe
  8. Its like saying would someone rather buy a opened SSD with no instructions booklets ect or a brand new sealed one? People like to buy the polybag sealed lol. Remebmer when the emmett toyrsur build was selling for 30-40 bucks .. you could easily build it for less than 2-3 bucks in parts but people wanted the packaging ect In order to profit and be successful you have to first understand the market in which you are trying to sell your items in, its a good tip
  9. lol .. he wants us to tell him good job .. why do people even ask these silly questions .. when they clearly know the answer ..
  10. This is a classic example of people buying to good to be true deals .. getting items drop shipped with stolen credit cards from lego.com and lego banning you forever. I think most people who get banned from lego here purchased from a drop-shipper. Why even bother. Even if the loser was selling a green grocer for $200 with no feedback stock photos and from international I wouldnt even touch that. I just avoid shady sellers in general and deal with legit retailers and its worked out just fine for me and ive gotten crazy good deals (legit ones) that dont keep me wondering if im gunna get scammed or not.
  11. I was thinking its a good time to purchase 10-20 of the new modular set for 159 each get vip points and a freebie with each. I dont really see this set ever being discounted more than $10-$15 bucks.
  12. Ya he was scamming people to get a discount.
  13. I hope nobody wants these.. that uk guy is a con artist. Sold him a few 41999 .. he tried the box scam on me saying it came damaged and sent me pictures of punctured hole same picture he prob. sent everyone else and wanted almost half the money back. I hope these crash and burn and he loses all his money
  14. Everyone has their picks. No such thing as a wrong pick because we cant see the future. If everyone invested in the exact same sets that would make it quite difficult to sell them later on. Diversity is not such a bad thing when comparing your investment inventory to others.
  15. First rule of investing, Never invest only in things you like .. invest in things that sells .. and minecraft is super popular hot item and sells well. Just keep that in mind
