I'll give a proper post once I get this thing sorted out. The few pieces/minifigs that I've pulled are kind of beat up. Seems like all the minifigs torsos are on different legs and heads, and all the hands are pulled. So far I've noticed pieces from some 90's sets, but the pieces are kind of beat up, so I'll either throw them on ebay noting they are rough or maybe trash them if they're bad enough. They are very dirty, and I've been sorting with rubber gloves and immediately washing any parts I pull. So far, I see a lot of pieces from 4867 - Hogwarts, 7930 - Bounty Hunter Assault Gunship and 4439 - Heavy Duty Helicopter. Not really seeing $400 worth, although I'll get my $20 back and should make some money.

Saw this over the weekend. The listing said over $400 worth of sets. The asking price... Drumroll please... $20. I don't see anything immediately from the pics. The base plates are from some 90's city sets. I see a sand green tower that is potentially Harry potter, plus some octagonal plates that makes me think it's the original Hogwarts. I bit. It's a 30 minute drive from my office. For $20, I figure it's worth the gamble. Will make another post once I sort it out. I'm skeptical because of the low asking price, but it's from a well off part of town, so maybe don't need the money. I'm supposed to meet at their house. Definitely leaving the info with a co-worker before I leave!

Nerdgasm. I really want to collect them all. But... With Rebels, and the continued remakes, it's like peeing in the wind.

Hey ladies and gents... been reading around trying to find answers, so I'll just ask here. I got the Dymo Printer + Labels for Christmas. Thanks Santa! Now... how about a scale? Does anyone recommend a scale to use? I'll eventually be shipping larger boxes, but for now they are relatively small sets and polybags/bubble mailers. Thanks in advance. Best, AC

Apologies for hi-jacking this thread, but it seemed the most appropriate, and I didn't want to start a new thread. This is up for auction near me. It's already at $50, I'm hoping some of you train connoisseurs might be able to help. I can't find any other train that has the dark green bricks (aside from a sante fe model). Is this the Emerald? The front looks different, it looks like it has reddish brown windows instead of black, and it looks to have a 4-digit number on the wheels and the body. I've tried putting a few small things. They always deleted my posts and said to list them on the kids dedicated sites since they were "toys". So I'm not sure this route will be much better. From my experience these FB groups are just as bad as CL. That is unless you find an AFOL or collectibles group. There groups I tried were buy/sell/trade groups. Good luck!

Yeah, I think it will have to be here unfortunately. I called my local branch bank that has a conference room, but it requires manager approval. So I guess that is a possibility. Thanks for all who've looked and replied!

Hey Pickers! I didn't know where else to turn. I have some audio equipment posted on CL. A Denon receiver and some Bose speakers. A guy from out of state is interested and wanting to drive 1.5 hours to get here. I am not keen on a stranger from out of state coming into my home with 2 kids under 3. He of course wants to hear the items. So I ask, can anyone recommend a place to meet this dude so he can demo the equipment? Or am I just going to have to bite the bullet and have him come to my house? Thanks dudes.

I called on the status of mine as well. Mine is in the same status. They only told me in was back-ordered, not that they didn't have any. Fingers crossed here.

I have no bells or whistles, just good ol fashioned persistence and a lot of luck. Shall see if it actually gets shipped, and if so what kind of shape grey will be in!

FINALLY! In for 4 (1, then back for 3). Hopefully won't be dinged up. It's ironic, was refreshing all day at work. Had all info ready. Then I when it was actually available, I was on my phone and had to re enter all my info, all while getting a plate for supper! Was for sure it would poof while I did that. Crossing my fingers on good packaging!
