Poly 30286 486 Posted March 31, 2016 @MarleyMoose Nice to know the Cape is not in as bad shape as HBO claims it is. There are a lot worse things you could be spending your nights doing.

Sharkbait 238 Posted March 31, 2016 @MarleyMoose I see you're on the Cape, what part? I grew up in Barnstable, but live up in Boston now.

Do you pronounce Eastham phonetically or does it sound like Chatham? I cannot duplicate the way my husband says his home town of Norfolk (kinda like Nor-fork, but my version always sounds like the f-bomb). I grew up in metrowest snobville, so I still don't have the accent, but my in-laws in Kingston sure do.
MarleyMoose 1,305 Posted March 31, 2016 Cape Codders aren't afflicted with the Boston area accent. At least here on the Lower Cape. I pronounce Eastham with the H basically a soft T (East-tam). Chatham is sort of (Chat-um).
Alpinemaps 12,798 Posted March 31, 2016 In the United States Forum you can start a thread related to a particular area. I'm mobile right now, otherwise I'd move the Boston chatta (chatter) to a new thread. Wicked pissa and all that.
