This week was the first time I’ve seen solo purchases of this with meaningful discounts in the UK - IWOOT had 100 at £39.99, and yesterday Amazon briefly price-matched.

It’s the sub-£100, non-retired set that excites me the most in the current lineup. I know many here are branding it a flop-in-waiting, but I think anyone turning their nose up at it is going to regret it.

I agree, The Beatles still have a huge following and the YS will probably introduce more older (and deep pocketed) fans to LEGO. Good times ahead for this set.

Set is fine: seller rank is good, supply is limited, only thing to be hesitant is TRU got a boatload here of that set and it is really hard to get a decent discount here, like 35-40€, so I will pass on this set.

I observed TRU and a bigger german retailer over the past weeks and the set is not moving at all. Adults are not picking it up in germany. I guess if its now a slow seller it will be a really slow seller once EOL. I will get none of them. Wall-E was a homerun, but this set nah. Fanbase is just too far away from LEGO.

There´s no home run Ideas set this year what with the Caterham being a very niche product and Adventure Time being potentially the worst performing Ideas set ever - a strong rival for Exo Suit.

You guys are both nuts. The Beatles are arguably the best band of all time. This set is a winner. There will never be a shortage of Beatles fans. Maybe in the UK it will be different, but I don’t see this set being a dud over here in the States.

I think the Adventure Time set is seriously lacking, but maybe since so many people are turned off by it, hopefully it won’t be as hoarded as some other sets. This could be a winner for a smaller target audience. I’ll buy some if the buy in price is right.

I agree about the Caterham. I like cars, and even I'm not really that fussed. I've just never liked them.

The problem with the set is that the people who will want it won’t necessarily be shopping in a toy store to come across it. I think that fact is obscuring its saleability now compared to other sets like trad Lego city fare, Star Wars, space-related gear.

In record stores, Amazon, eBay - basically anywhere they’ll feasibly look for Beatles records, books etc and stumble across it - I’m sure it’s a winner.

...or anyone who does a search for "Beatles" on eBay or Amazon.
