Jurassic World Short Film, ‘Battle at Big Rock’ by Colin Trevorrow

This short film is set between JW 2 and upcoming JW 3.

  • "Here’s the official synopsis: The short takes place one year after the events of the last Jurassic World film in Big Rock National Park, where dinosaurs are now living in our world. The story follows a family of four whose encounter with these wild animals becomes a terrifying fight for survival
  • Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom ended with a fascinating cliffhanger: dinosaurs were set free and roaming around the United States. Jurassic World 3 won’t hit theaters until 2021, but you can see how filmmaker Colin Trevorrow capitalizes on that cliffhanger ending in Battle at Big Rock, a new Jurassic World short film that aired on FX last night.
  • “If [the end of Fallen Kingdom] really happened, you’d see a series of random disconnected incidents that would create a pattern of chaos,” Trevorrow explained in a recent interview. “I wanted to see one of those incidents.” So he co-wrote Battle at Big Rock with Emily Carmichael, with whom he’s also co-writing the script for Jurassic World 3.
  • André Holland (Moonlight), Natalie Martinez (End of Watch), Melody Hurd, and Pierson Salvador star as the young family who encounter a few Nasutoceratops and an angry Allosaurus in the woods of Northern California."

who knows, maybe Lego will surprise us with a "Battle at Big Rock" set. ha ha. right.

would be cool to have a t-rex, nasutoceratops, and it's baby plus a motor home / trailer along with all plenty of minifigs in a single set.

I thought it was: If you see something being eaten by something really big...don't stay and watch unless you want to be option B or dessert.

I still find the whole idea that dinos just escape and take over a territory hilarious. With military might, it wouldn't really take much to wipe out the trex and any other larger dangerous ones with relative ease.

If zombies can do it, why not dinosaurs?

And considering we still can't capture Sasquatch I think the Dinosaurs have a fair shot at avoiding the military.

Midwest deer Hunters, cooler full of beers, and their choice of assault rifle arms from their own "hidden bunkers"...should get the job done

...and by "Job", I mean a very entertaining movie
