What Lego set did you buy today?

Recommended Posts

Went in to muy local LEGO store intending to leave with a copy of Creator Expert modular, "Assembly Square"...

Well, So much for the inrtended plan of action, lol.
Ended tip leaving with:

42078 - TECHNIC Mack Anthem

42077 - TECHNIC Rally Car (saved 10% because the box was "blemished" ever so slightly!

60195 - CITY Arctic Mobile Exploration Base (saved 20% because of "blemished' ever so slightly box... and perhaps because it will be retiring?  Not quite sure!)

75895 - Speed Champions - New White 1974 Porsche 911 Turbo 3.0 ( Really cool model/remake in new color of 75888/Lime Green model)

Brickheadz 2-pack of Mr and Mrs. Claus for $9.98

and, finally..

3 - Bumble Bee Brickheadz, no charge, based on what I spent.

Needless to say, Assembly Square will have to hold off now until September!

Oh yeah, forgot, to CMF's of Disney, series 2, one of Huey and the other Dewey!

Purchased 7946 King's Castle on eBay for $81.20 shipped. Listing had only a picture of the box, but was listed as "used with all parts"

Box arrived sealed, but I didn't trust it so I had to crack it open. Set is brand new. Now I go from "a great price for a complete set" to "All bags sealed... should I flip it, buy a used one, and run off with the profit?" A good, but always difficult question regarding something you wanted. Leaning towards keeping for the kids... but the market will eventually decide its fate.

So this seller sets wrong 9,99€ price for 21041 Chinese Wall, ordered 6 for 86€ including shipping, yesterday....

Got a tracking number today... Thought they would cancel the order...

Maybe a box of bricks on the way?

Would it be considered ironic if they send you bags of counterfeit Chinese Wall set made in China ?

I met with a husband and wife selling their son's toys and got this lot for $45.  Benny's Spaceship is missing the small black spaceship and the Robo Pilot minifigure.  The AT-AP is missing the  Battle Droid and the Super Battle Droid minifigures and I will BrickLink the missing pieces and minifigures.  The rest of the lot is a bonus and some of the Star Wars minifigures are definitely a bonus.  I am definitely selling Benny's Spaceship since I already have one and am on the fence about the rest.

They all need a little cleaning and are somewhat dusty.

Sniped this one a couple weeks ago figuring my hopes of finding a sub $200 Cafe Corner were going to come down to buying it in pieces. Since some of the rarest pieces are the red slopes, this listing looked promising. For $33.50 it came with all the slopes, with a few extra to spare.

After looking through my spares at home, I have nearly all the brown pieces... so the majority of two floors were taken care of.

But that didn't account for the rest of the rare pieces, which include the very expensive doors and dark blue poles.

Then this listing appears while rocking the youngest to sleep. It includes the entire first floor and all those pesky blue parts and doors (as well as a few other sets).

I think this is about as close to a sub $200 Cafe Corner as I'm gonna find. I grabbed the manuals around a year ago in a large instruction lot and have debated selling them, but now they will be used to finish off the modular collection.

Great finds! Getting the manuals was a great stroke of luck - the price of them is insane.

I was also fortunate enough to get a Cafe Corner for way below market rate. Not quite that cheap but still only paid £230 on eBay including instructions and about £30 to get missing figs / bits. When mine arrived, the instruction booklets were stuck together with masking tape (you can imagine my horror, given that they are worth £150+ seemingly)! Fortunately, with a hot lamp and a lot of patience I was able to remove it without ripping them.

Picked up a goodwill lot - 3.5 lbs sealed bags.  I had a gut feeling what it was and got it under $40.  Ended up being a complete Brick Bank (minus base plate) + one extra sealed bag (not sure what it goes to).  I picked up the instructions and stickers from bricklink (new, <$5 incl shipping) and I have a new base plate in my inventory ($5).
