The LEGO Ninjago Movie General Discussion

Recommended Posts

Ninjago was a good show, enjoyable by adults and kids. Wonder how that'll transfer over.

Speaking of potential movies, I don't think we'll see a Chima movie. The show is much more childish in comparison to Ninjago, and I'm not sure who they'll be trying to appeal to. Either way, it's nice to get two movies back to back, this and then the LEGO Movie 2.

I only wonder what the next adaptation will be.

Wow, it`s a long ways off still, but if a full length film doesn`t ignite demand, not much else will. That said Ninjago has already proven very big as an investment. Only thing about it being that far off is any sets now will likely have levelled out in value by then. And it also verifies that Lego will continue the theme for another 2-3 years (assuming they don`t have another hiatus). Win-win for the investors and fans.

This might be better suited in the investing forums however this bunch seems much more active - Lego just announced a big screen Ninjago Movie for 2016 - I expect all of the current batch an retired sets to see a big jump in value on the secondary market when the film releases:

Cool! I believe many BPers will be very very happy to see this coming. And still time to stack all the current ninjago sets because they will probably be retired by then. :D

Probably larger fraction of the Ninjago movie fans than SW movies are the kids. So averagely speaking purchasing power is lower. EDB is going to be just as good as or even better (coz it got 4 heads!) than all its dragon ancestors. Maybe not hitting as high as some SW sets unless some super rich parents have kids with some super nagging power.

"The LEGO Ninjago Movie (September 22, 2017) - An entry on MovieInsider.com reveals some interesting tidbits. The film is now in production, and the title has been revealed. We also have an official teaser poster (above) and synopsis; "Ninjago is the story of six young ninja tasked with defending their island home, called Ninjago. By night, they’re gifted warriors, using their skill and awesome fleet of vehicles to fight villains and monsters. By day, they’re ordinary teens, struggling against their greatest enemy: high school."

6 teens who are masked martial artists with their respective colors and awesome vehicles. OMG LEGO is bringing back Power Rangers!

I would guess that this trailer will be attached to the Batman movie, so if you're taking your kids to that this weekend, don't tell them about this yet. Always better to get the surprise on the big screen.

Netflix finally has the last 2 seasons of the TV show.  My son has been catching up and I usually overhear most of each episode.

we recently saw the movie trailer.  Neither one of us were happy with the replacement voice actors for Kai, Zane, Jay and Cole).  Jackie Chang also sounds terrible as Wu.  Too bad the tv show voice actors weren't used.

also, the movie looks like a rehash of seasons 1-2.

The sets are at the fair.. surprised they haven't been leaked by now.

Picture of Lego policeman with handcuffs is enough to scare off any amateur photographers.
