  3. After a very cool August LEGO build at Toys R' Us (See below picture of my son Max and his creation), they are following up with another quality and FREE LEGO build(s), this time on two dates... September 17th between 12-2 PM...Disney Princess Cogsworth character September 24th between 12-2PM...Disney Princess Lumiere character Now I know they are "Disney Princess" characters and some little boys might not want to build them, but I think they are pretty cool and it might be worth a try getting your little tough guy to the local Toys R' Us for a free LEGO set. ***Thanks to Elkkthunder for the original heads up...

  5. Ok, which one of you did this? Darth_Raichu? Veegs? According to this article, police are reporting that three men forced their way into a Toys 'R' Us in Ontario and stole a "large quantity" of Lego sets with a presumed retail value of $20,000. That is a pretty large haul even if the currency is in Canadian Dollars. I am wondering why this news is just coming out now since the crime happened back in October. The most intriguing part of this article to me is that they mention that this probably happened due to the increase in popularity because of the movie and that the high prices of LEGO have created a "black market" I am not sure if they are calling LEGO resellers the black market or if there is a whole new shady underground movement going on out there, perhaps we can come up with a new site for the dark web. I nominate Ed Mack for kingpin of the LEGO Underground Scene. If any of our Brickpicker members that are located north of the United States learn any information about this heist or the black market, please report it to your local authorities.

  7. Below is a screenshot of Black Friday deal that Toys R Us is offering this year. Nothing wrong with getting 30% off any set. I personally like the Ultra Agents theme. The 70173: Ultra Agents Ocean HQ is a really slick looking boat and if you can grab that for $70, not a bad considering it is sold out right now on LEGO S@H.

  9. Toys R Us will be holding a building event for kids. Build and take home a mini LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens Poe's X-Wing Fighter. This event will be held on Saturday, November 14 from 12-2pm. This X-Wing is Poe Dameron’s version and is slightly different from previous X-Wings we’ve seen from Toys R Us. 14. Moving along to the last US retailer with store exclusives, here is the (work in progress) list of 'hard-to-find' sets for Toys R Us. 15. I know many of us were wondering where & when this cute little polybag was going to show up. It retails for $3.99 on their site and should in store as well. via The Brick Fan
  16. This little polybag can be found on Toys R Us' website or in store for $3.49 which is pretty good especially considering it is Toys R Us after all. via The Brick Fan

Member studontop pointed out this bull listing from Toys R Us. Product page Oh Toys R Us, you continue to prove that you think we are just that naive.
  18. I was in TRU today and was told by one of the higher-ups in the store that TRU will announce this week that they will be closing several stores throughout the country. There will be large markdowns taking place Tue/Wed/Thu evening, and stores have already rec'd tags to markdown merchandise 30/50/70%, although the selection of merchandise marked down, and the % discount will ultimately vary by store, thus deals will be YMMV. With that being said, I don't know what is going to be marked down, as TRU clearance typically has a very poor selection, so it could turn out to be a bunch of crap put on sale. They appreciate my business and are very friendly with me when I stop in to shop, so I don't have any reason to believe that this would be false information. I offered to buy the Lego aisle at 15% on the dollar. They declined.
  19. Check out my Black Friday shipments of Helm's Deep from TRU: All boxes crushed, a few with holes in them, one box's seals totally popped off. After opening the shipping box up completely it was easy to see why this damage may have occurred - the box chosen to package the items was completely too large for the sets, leaving a large amount of space for them to move and be damaged during transit. More surprising to me was the fact that there was absolutely no packing material placed into the box to buffer and keep the packages from moving about. Anyone who has ever shipped a package knows enough to add filler or bubble wrap to a shipment to make sure the content stays protected during the shipping process. Frustrated!
  20. I am trying to sell this Harry Potter Lego model that I won from Toys R Us over 10 years ago, but I cannot find anything like it on the internet. Would anyone know what something like this would go for? It is 12" high and the box itself is 18". Thanks for any input!
  21. Brickset has posted a little review for this store exclusive polybag. Umm, I don't know about you but this is kind of creepy looking.
  22. From the album Orc's Random Bits

Oh come on, now this is just plain pathetic. Instead of simply correcting the list price error from before, all they did was cross it out and add the "Our Price" bullspit. Do they honestly believe anyone will actually think their list price is the original retail? Well I guess as they say, "A sucker's born every minute". Product page on Toys R Us.
