Virtual LEGO Investing Game - Win Prizes!

Cool idea, have been hoping to see this. one piece of feedback: the extra 3 bucks/set changes the game in a big way. Maybe it's a reality of the business of flipping for such a short term time horizon (i.e. trading) but it's the equivalent punishing one for having small cap stocks. next time I'd reconsider that.

Thanks.  The $3 per set is a hard cost to pin down.  There is inherently more cost (be it time, packaging, logistics etc) in selling 100 sets at $3 each vs 1 set at $300 for example.  How much that cost is, is very hard to determine.  There was a forum post a while ago that I remember having a poll on the time it takes on average per set to deal with listing, packaging, driving etc and it came out around 10mins per set, so $3 felt like a good point to start.  If at the end of the game it looks like that was a bit high we can adjust it next time around (if we do it again).

Nice choice!

I see that at $26.08, not $17.41.  Am I missing something?

There was an error with the sales data for that set going in to 6862-1 and not 6862-2 for the last 3 periods.  Jeff has corrected it.  Those who have the set in their picks have been contacted via PM and asked to reconsider their choices.  Stupid Lego, reusing numbers!
